EDUCATION

Projectivity offers courses and workshops for all different fields including music, art, video, and fashion.  We are a licensed NYC Dept. of Education Vendor and we work with schools and agencies to provide instruction to students and clients enrolled in different programs.

Art

Our art courses focus on the themes and messages using imagery. Participants are introduced to drawing, painting, stenciling, collage (multi-media), or spraypainting. Professional artists work with students to help them develop subject matter, and execute final works which go on display indoors or as public art.

 

ART RE:CREATION

Recreate famous works of art using simple instruction and templates or create original works using different mediums. Students will learn a chosen technique and create their own art pieces to display.

MURAL MISSION

Deliver a message and brighten up a neighborhood or school by creating a mural to display to a big audience. Students will work with a professional muralist and street artist to paint a design and paint a themed mural.

DESIGN YOURSELF

Use technology to create your own graphic arts project.  Learn professional grade software to create and edit original designs or alter photos.  Students will incorporate all different elements of design to create an original flyer/sign of their.

  • Learn different software and hardware including digital drawing pads and tablets
  • Basic design techniques
  • Typography
  • Color theory
  • File types and applications

Music

Projectivity offers music classes and workshops introducing participants to different aspects of music production, recording, engineering/mixing, DJing, marketing/promoting material, etc. In each class, students will learn the fundamentals of using technology to create music. They will work with industry standard software and equipment to produce and record their own songs or compositions.

 

SPINNING YOUR SOUND

Work with professionals to learn how to DJ or get better at your craft.  At the end of each program, participants will create and record a 5 minute personalized DJ mix with demonstrating their own style, taste, and skill set.

MUSIC PRODUCTION

Photo/Video

Projectivity stresses the importance of documenting events and important projects in the community. We train students in the fields of photography and videography, giving them the necessary tools to create quality visual output, capturing events and efforts from local artists, agencies, schools, and other community assets.

 

VIDEO PROGRAM

Our video courses offer different kinds of experiences related to filmmaking. Students will work with professionals to learn the basics of camera operation, different studio equipment, storyboards, editing software, and other video fundamentals such as how to conduct interviews in a professional studio, capture on-site footage in the community, and edit their content to share with the world.

PSA (PERSONAL STORIES IN ACTION)

Work with a director/screenwriter to learn the different roles involved in creating and filming a screenplay.  Students will make mini movies and get to experience each different role as writer/director, filmer, and actor.

SHOW YOURSELF

Professional filmers will work with students to show them the process of documentary filmmaking.  Final projects include telling a personal story, interviewing someone on camera, or researching a topic and reporting on it through video
