A documentary by Shani Mitchell B.U.I.L.D. Staten Island is a Youthbuild USA Modeled program that provides a pathway for unemployed, out-of-work youth between the ages of 16 to 24, an opportunity to reclaim their education, gain the skills they need for employment, and become leaders in rebuilding and shaping their communities The Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership’s B.U.I.L.D. program is currently a provisional Affiliate of YouthBuild USA and is the FIRST YouthBuild Program on Staten Island. Projectivity documented the group’s progress, accomplishments, and hardships over 3 years, 2016-2018.
